Non-Profit Status

Compass Greensboro was incorporated in June of 2020 and is currently in the application and approval process for 501c3 status through the IRS. Compass Greensboro has entered into a fiscal partnership with The Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro, INC for the current and upcoming tax year. All donations made to Compass Greensboro will be under the non-profit status of The Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro, and tax deductible.

Job Training Program

This vocational program curriculum is designed to train adults with disabilities (ages 18-39) for jobs in the restaurant and hospitality industry. Our teaching strategies include a combination of direct instruction, hands-on learning activities, personal reflection, and one-on-one coaching. Our students will have the opportunity to hear from guest instructors in the community, practice role-playing real workplace scenarios, and complete an internship with one of our business partnerships. Upon completion of this 10 month program, our students will secure jobs at local businesses in the community. At the end of their coursework, students will receive on-site coaching and skill maintenance support.
